A North East artist

Ron Davidson (1936–2024) painted every day for more than 50 years. He grew up in Roker, spent 20 years in industry, painted more than 400 pub signs for Vaux Breweries and was commissioned by Sunderland AFC’s chairman to paint Into the Light for the Stadium of Light. In 2014 he retired to Romaldkirk, where the light of Teesdale took over his later work.

His family has digitised his paintings so everyone can enjoy his life’s work. Every print is faithfully reproduced from one of Ron’s original watercolours, and every order supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service, the charity Ron chose to support.
