The Coast

Ron loved the sea. His coastal paintings range from Roker Pier and the lighthouses near Sunderland to harbours, fishing boats, quiet bays and stormy North Sea skies, with a few from further afield. Every one is available as a Giclée print, mounted ready to frame, or as an A5 card.

Ron Davidson and the sea

Growing up in Roker, Ron had the North Sea on his doorstep, and he painted it all his life: the pier and its lighthouse, Souter Point, Marsden Rocks, the harbours and the boats coming home. In his later years he became fascinated by Turner, and paintings like Inspired by Turner and Nod to the Master let the sea and sky blend into light.

Every painting is reproduced as a Giclée print from Ron’s original watercolour, in A4, A3 or A2, unmounted or mounted, and as an A5 card. Every order supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
