Vaux Pub Signs Card: The Horses
£4.25
A collage card of Ron’s Vaux pub signs, with the horses that hung outside the brewery’s pubs.
Every order supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service, Ron’s own chosen charity.
A collage card of six of Ron’s pub signs for Vaux, most of them horses: The Turf at Winlaton, The Brown Horse, The Dun Horse, The Brewery Tap and Vaux Ales’ The Grindon Mill. In the corner is a photograph of Ron himself at his easel, putting the finishing touches to the sign for The Red Alligator at South Church.
Ron painted more than 400 pub signs for Vaux Breweries, hanging outside pubs across the North East, and he worked on the interiors of Vaux Inns and Hotels. The signs themselves have long since come down, so cards like this are one of the few ways to see them now, and they are much loved by anyone who collects Vaux memories. Read about Ron’s Vaux years.
Every card sold supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service, the charity Ron chose to support.
